Milkshakes for Breakfast?

Healthy Shakes Kids Love to Drink!

Families are busier than ever these days and breakfast is often a meal on-the-go, but that doesn’t mean it has to be unhealthy.  You can blend a nutritious, whole-foods breakfast in less than 5 minutes with these simple protein-packed recipes.

As a parent, I understand the struggle of getting healthy, palate-pleasing meals on the table in a timely manner.  Breakfast can be the most challenging meal of the day to get into kids, but it is the most important, not only for their bellies, but also for their minds.

My kids love these quick breakfast smoothies.  They are made with milk, so they are packed with 8 essential nutrients and a whopping 8 grams of protein- that’s more than is in an egg!

I like to freeze the bananas added to these smoothies.  Just peel them, slice in half and wrap in plastic wrap.  Place wrapped bananas in sandwich bags and put them into a sealed freezer-safe container.  They keep beautifully this way and you can just pop one out when you need it.
