Hundreds of coaches in Tennessee learned about the power and recovery benefits of chocolate milk in January during the Annual Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Clinic at the Cool Springs Marriott in Franklin, Tenn. Southeast United Dairy Industry Association, Inc. (SUDIA) staff hosted the Fuel Up with Chocolate Milk/Coolers for Coaches exhibit; baseball coaches from around the state enjoyed chocolate milk donated by Purity Dairies; and Kentucky native and registered dietitian Anna Grout presented on the recovery benefits of chocolate milk.
“Taking in fluids, carbohydrates and protein post-workout and post-competition are essential recovery components for replenishing your body,” she added. “Low-fat chocolate milk naturally contains all three nutritional components…making it the best choice for recovery.”
Along with technical advice and strength building tips, the clinic offered coaches an opportunity to learn about the positive benefits of chocolate milk as a replenishing and post-workout recovery beverage for student athletes, particularly after weight training, practices and games. During the clinic, SUDIA staff members spoke directly with coaches about nutrition and gave one lucky school in attendance a free glass-front milk cooler for their athletic program.
Thank you to all the coaches who visited the SUDIA Coolers for Coaches exhibit and helped make the clinic a great success. Have a great season!
