When thinking about fall, most people think about the crisp, cool weather, football games, and colorful leaves, but if you’re like me—the things you look forward to the most are the fall flavors!
The comforting flavors of fall are not only delicious, but as a Registered Dietitian, I love them because they are packed full of nutrition, as well. For example, did you know that just one cup of pumpkin offers 200% of your recommended daily intake of vitamin A? You’ll need that for eyesight as the days get darker earlier!
Here are some of my favorite recipes featuring harvest flavors:
Pumpkin
- Pumpkin Pancakes
- Classic Pumpkin Pie
- Pumpkin Bread Pudding
- Kefir Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
- Pumpkin Cranberry Bread Pudding
- Autumn Pumpkin Soup
Maple
Sweet Potato/Butternut Squash
- Sweet Potato Praline Pie
- Skillet Butternut Squash Lasagna
- Butternut Squash & Sage Soup
- Butternut Squash Soup
