This year, our dairy farmers are showing out for National Dairy Month! Farmers across the Southeast are celebrating by educating the public about the importance of dairy as well as providing delicious milk. Here are just a few of our farmers that participated in National Dairy Month.
How Dairy Farmers Get Involved for Dairy Month
B&B Dairy
The Walthall County Dairy Festival in Mississippi has been described by out-of-town media as one of the best old-time festivals in existence. You can find Tanya Rushing, owner and operator of B&B Dairy Farm, on the first Saturday in June celebrating National Dairy Month by bringing one of her cows out to the festival and sharing her experience as a dairy farmer with people that come from across the state to join in on the festivities!

Working Cows Dairy
Are you looking for a family-friendly activity this summer? Rinske de Jong from Working Cows Dairy in Slocomb, Alabama, invites you to try some of their fresh cheese and take a trip to the farm to see their cows being milked! Come on out to the farm to see milking at 8:15 am daily (excluding Friday and Sunday) and find out just where their dairy products come from.
Williams Dairy
Carol Williams from Williams Dairy celebrated June Dairy Month at the Putnam Dairy Festival on June 3 in Eatonton, Georgia. She attended the festival with the Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation, helping youth build leadership skills and take advantage of opportunities to learn and educate others about the dairy industry.

Eaker Dairy
Did you know that milk is one of the items most requested by food bank clients, yet there is a nationwide shortage because it is rarely donated? Eaker Dairy in North Carolina is doing its part to ensure the community has access to fresh milk. Eaker Dairy partners with the local food bank to provide refrigeration and make sure there is a steady supply of milk for the pantry. Stop by your local food pantry to do your part in celebrating National Dairy Month by donating a few gallons of milk!
Wet-Meadows Farm
Wet-Meadows Farm celebrates National Dairy Month in a very special way! They present a “Box of Dairy” to the family of the first-born baby in June filled with delicious dairy products including chocolate milk, yogurt, and ice cream. They partner with their local grocery store for milk giveaways and dairy promotions.
