Milk and Granola: The Easy, Tasty Snack for the New You

Granola consists of an oats, nuts, honey, and dried fruit or chocolate mixture that is baked until golden brown. Though the popular granola bar may come to mind, granola can be loose and cereal-like. Granola is often eaten with yogurt, fruit, and/or milk. 

Here are four ways to enjoy granola for a tasty breakfast or snack.

Enjoy a classic granola breakfast with this Homemade Low-Fat Granola recipe. Make a batch of this low-fat, high-fiber granola for a quick and easy breakfast by adding milk and sliced berries. 

This recipe calls for classic ingredients like oatmeal, almonds, maple syrup, and raisins, but this version also includes apple juice. 

Make the classic on-the-go snack at home: granola bars! Take your favorite granola recipe and add a sticky ingredient like extra honey or peanut butter to help form and bake the bars. You can even dip the bars into yogurt and let them harden for extra support and flavor.
