Acai Milk Tea Latte

The superfood acai berry is rich in antioxidants, fiber and omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids. Paired with nutritious frothed milk steeped with just a hint of basil, this the perfect way to relax and unwind.

Ingredients

  • 12 cup hot water
  • 1 wild berry or Acai flavored tea bag
  • 2 cups milk
  • 5-6 basil leaves
  • 2 teaspoon Acai powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

Place tea bag in hot water to steep, set aside. In a small pot bring milk and basil leaves up to a low simmer, stirring to make sure it doesn’t burn. Remove from heat and discard the leaves. Whisk in tea, Acai powder and honey. Divide evenly among two mugs, leaving about half a cup in pot to froth with electric frother or whip by hand. Top mugs with frothed milk and serve immediately.
