Delicious Rice Pudding

Served warm or cold, this cinnamon-flavored rice pudding is a perfect comfort food dessert.

  • 5 cups LACTAID fat-free milk
  • 1 cup uncooked white jasmine rice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins


  • Combine milk, rice, sugar and salt in top of a double boiler. Cover and cook over simmering water 1-2 hours or until thickened; stirring occasionally. Can be served hot or cold. Remove from heat and add cinnamon, vanilla and raisins.
