Director of Corporate Communications

Reports to Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

The Director of Corporate Communications is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and is a creative storyteller responsible for leading internal and external communications for The Dairy Alliance. Works closely with the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO) to help establish the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the strategic communications, public and farmer relations programs as set forth in the Unified Marketing Plan. In addition to leading the corporate communications team, this position in collaboration with the CMCO, serves as the crisis lead for the organization and directs public relations and media relations opportunities. Manager of Farmer Relations – Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi

Reports to Director of Corporate Communications

The Farmer Relations Manager represents the critical link between The Dairy Alliance and its specific state dairy farm members. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, the position will develop and maintain positive relationships with dairy farmers and key dairy industry leaders to communicate the organization’s goals to build demand for sales of milk and dairy foods on behalf of the region’s dairy farmers. This role is responsible for managing state American Dairy Association organizations; planning, managing, implementing and evaluating local market events involving dairy farmers; developing key industry relationships; and establishing and maintaining active contact and communication with targeted leaders and partners necessary to accomplish the goals of the Unified Marketing Plan.

The Manager of Consumer & Category Insights is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing The Dairy Alliance’s Business Development programs based on the Unified Marketing Plan (UMP), in cooperation with the Director of Consumer and Category Insights, Chief Strategy Officer and other organization staff. This individual manages and executes a comprehensive partner account strategy, including relationship management with all levels of foodservice and retail partners. The role acts as an account manager and industry research analyst, supporting the growth of dairy sales in commercial and non-commercial foodservice organizations.

The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a significant role in helping to ideate and streamline multi-channel content opportunities across different platforms like social, e-comm, paid media and other channels. This individual will serve as a key internal stakeholder for our content execution, which includes working through and with internal and external stakeholders. The Digital Marketing Specialist will have a strong understanding of current trends in digital content, as well as a pulse on innovation within this space. Internship Program Recruitment Flier

The Dairy Alliance Internships

The Dairy Alliance offers paid internships during the spring, fall and summer semesters to undergraduate and post-graduate students interested in learning more about the dairy industry. Interns participate in public- and industry-relations activities, support staff at various industry events, work with National Football League teams at co-sponsored Fuel Up to Play 60 events, visit local dairy farms, and work one-on-one with local farmers. Interns learn best practices for agricultural public relations and industry relations and gain valuable software skills, such as WordPress, Adobe Photoshop/InDesign and Final Cut Pro.
