Manager of Food and Nutrition Outreach (Culinary-Focus)

Reports to Director of Food and Nutrition Outreach
Responsible for planning, development and implementation of The Dairy Alliance’s Food and Nutrition Outreach program in alignment with the Unified Marketing Plan (UMP), in cooperation with the Director of Food and Nutrition Outreach, Chief Strategy Officer and other organization staff. Manages and executes a comprehensive partner account strategy including, but not limited to, partnerships with health professionals, academics, scientists, and foodservice/retail dietitians. Support dairy’s place in dietary guidance by demonstrating dairy’s essential role in protecting public and planetary health. Manages activities that help fulfill the mission of the Association: Everything we do is market-focused and promotes and protects the interests of the Southeast dairy farm families.

Additionally, for this position we are seeking someone who will support innovation and menu ideation with leading foodservice partners and associations through engagement of decision-making dietitians who influence menu development and food environments in collaboration with our Business Development team and provide a nutrition/culinary perspective on ways to drive dairy consumption through trends and development of nutritious recipes with real dairy.

The Dairy Alliance Internships

The Dairy Alliance offers paid internships during the spring, fall and summer semesters to undergraduate and post-graduate students interested in learning more about the dairy industry. Interns participate in public- and industry-relations activities, support staff at various industry events, work with National Football League teams at co-sponsored Fuel Up to Play 60 events, visit local dairy farms, and work one-on-one with local farmers. Interns learn best practices for agricultural public relations and industry relations and gain valuable software skills, such as WordPress, Adobe Photoshop/InDesign and Final Cut Pro.
