# The Dairy Alliance > The Dairy Alliance is a nonprofit funded by dairy farm families of the Southeast US. It promotes dairy foods and knowledge about the dairy industry through nutrition information, recipes, school programs, farm tours and industry news. Its work centers on eight states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The site has four large content collections: a blog of about 1,500 articles on dairy nutrition, food and farming; about 440 dairy recipes; a newsroom of about 290 industry and community news items; and profiles of Southeast dairy farm families. ## About -
