Andalusia Grab N Go Dramatically Increases Breakfast Participation

The results are in! Andalusia High School decided to begin a free universal breakfast Grab N Go for its students. Staff quickly realized they need more cold storage for the milk, which The Dairy Alliance provided through a grant for a 4 crate rolling cooler. After implementing the Grab N Go breakfast and highlighting milk through the new rolling cooler, Andalusia High School saw a 61% increase in breakfast participation and 125% increase in milk consumption. Students are always eager to enjoy the milk and yogurt products now available to them, translating into an additional 311 students served per day and an additional 40,772 pounds of milk moved within one high school for one school year. With healthier meal and drink options availble to them through the Grab N Go program, students are more prepared for school. Wow!
