Breakfast Success Story: Bay High School

The Dairy Alliance visited Bay High in Hancock County to see the breakfast after the bell program, breakfast kiosk and milk barrel that Bay High received through a Fuel Up to Play 60 grant. Since the start of the new breakfast program in September 2018, Bay High has increased their breakfast participation by serving 100 more meals including dairy each day. Students expressed their excitement for the new program to The Dairy Alliance staff. One student said, "I love having breakfast in this common area where I can grab something to eat." My friends and I plan to get breakfast every day and visit since the kiosk is here." Since the breakfast program continues to be successful, Hancock County School District has started a Breakfast in the Classroom program in the elementary school and added smoothies to the menu at Bay High School.
