Students at Crab Orchard Elementary learned that their new "Silver Cow" was no April Fools joke! New milk dispensers were launched on April 1st and featured plain and chocolate milk options. All Cumberland County students with access to milk dispensers are allowed unlimited milk refills, and students are taking advantage. Crab Orchard uses 12 oz cups for the dispensers, which provide more milk than the 8 oz milk cartons typically served, yet students return to the line for more "milk in cups" as the students have deemed the new option. Providing as much cold milk as students like, the bulk milk dispensers encourage students to enjoy milk with each school meal.
