Eat for Strength with Milk

The Dairy Alliance co-hosted an Eat for Strength webinar with Dairy MAX, with 28 leading pediatricians and top sports dietitians in the Southeast and Southwestern regions attending.

Nationally recognized sports dietitian, Marie Spano, kicked off the training, presenting on common nutrition issues sports dietitians face with their players, specifically around protein needs, and how dairy’s nutrient package contributes to better athletic performance. Additionally, Spano shared how she encourages athletes wanting to go vegan to reconsider, as it is almost impossible to obtain the protein an athlete needs without adding dairy’s protein.

Next, communications trainer Teri Goudie helped participants master remote media interviews. Following this training and Spano's presentation, attendees have the tools they need to share dairy's important role in the diet with athletes and the average consumer.
