FUTP60 Grant Brings Breakfast Program to More Schools in Craven County System
August 30, 2019
Craven County School Nutrition was awarded a FUTP60 grant in the amount of $35,230 to expand their school breakfast program at 9 schools. The grant will supplement the purchase of sustainable equipment that will support alternative breakfast programs at each school and encourage students to begin their school day with a dairy-filled breakfast.
“We are doing our part to encourage students to make healthy choices including fueling up with school breakfast and nutrient rich milk, as well as be active for 60 minutes a day” added Roseann Liberatore, Registered Dietitian and Manager of Youth Wellness for The Dairy Alliance.
