Greenville Schools Join In for World School Milk Day

As part of a celebration for World School Milk Day, Greenville Schools hosted the following day a smoothie tasting for students. World School Milk Day, held on September 25, saw schools learn about the origins of dairy and the health benefits of including it at mealtime. To honor this, Greenville staff and students were able to taste different smoothie flavors during lunchtime to encourage drinking more milk. Other events across the state included Harrison County Schools providing mozerrala sticks and ice cream as snacks to students, Picayune Schools students enjoying parfaits, Corinth Schools inviting parents to enjoy milk with their students in the cafeteria and Jackson County Schools host Middleton Farms to learn more about dairy farming before holding a poster contest and enjoying dairy samples from the MSU Extension.
