The Haleyville City School System began receiving milk deliveries of over 250 cases of milk at a time for their Meals to Go food bags during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. The school system was able to purchase a refrigerated trailer that holds milk and distributes meals with SAFG funding awarded by The Dairy Alliance. This small district served 119,770 meals between March 17th and July 31st, moving 64,376 pounds of milk in that timeframe.
