Moving More Milk at Middle Georgia Community Food Bank

The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, a recipient of the Milk2MyPlate grant in 2020, has doubled their purchase of milk for their clients. The food bank's quarterly report shows that they purchased 855 gallons of milk in the second quarter. The Milk2MyPlate grants help food banks in The Dairy Alliance's 8-state region like the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank purchase refrigeration needed for perishable items like dairy. With this refrigeration, more dairy foods can be stored and distributed to the food insecure in local communities.
