Dr. Gerri Cannon-Smith will represent Mississippi in 2021 on The Dairy Alliance's Health and Wellness Advisory committee. Dr. Cannon-Smith has over thirty years of experience, including serving as a Pediatrician, Public Health Practitioner/Consultant, administrator, and public health faculty. Currently, she is engaged in community health literacy and health equity advocacy, community participatory research, and Maternal Child Health consultation as owner of Innovative Health Strategies.
The committee will advocate dairy's important role to other nutrition professionals, students, culinary professionals and more through events and webinars.
