Schools Compete to Move More Milk

Mississipi School Nutrition Association held it’s annual meeting in Natchez, Mississipi this past November. The Dairy Alliance hosted a booth to discuss resources and grant opportunities with school nutrition directors. Additionally, the winners for the World School Milk Day contest received recognition during one of the sessions. Vicksburg Warren School District won first place for their 42 percent increase in meals and 22 percent increase in milk sales. Second place went to Forrest County School District for a ten percent increase in meals and seven percent increase in milk sales. Hinds County School District received third place for their seven percent increase in meals and five percent increase in milk sales.
