The Dairy Alliance offered the first live webinar for WIC providers in our 8-state region. Marina Chaparro, RD, CDE MPH, presented an hour-long presentation on introducing foods and cultural differences with the Latino population. We had 199 registrants with 131 attending this live webinar, representing 10 states--Mississippi, Kentucky, Maine, Ohio, Alabama, California, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Delaware-- and Puerto Rico and D.C. The survey results showed that of 107 responses, 101 felt that dairy foods were nutritious, with an overall rating of 9.3.
