Whitfield County Schools, serving 4,800 meals per day at 8 feeding sites, received grant funds through The Dairy Alliance to purchase 35 insulated food containers to keep perishable food items like milk at the appropriate temperature during meal transportation. With the help of these coolers, the school system was able to serve 381,874 meals from March 17th through the end of this year's summer feeding program, moving over 200,000 pounds of milk in this time.
