Have you ever wondered how milk is produced, how farmers care for their cows, or how long it takes for milk to get from farm to table?
The Dairy Alliance invites you to a LIVE Virtual Dairy Farm Tour!
What is a Virtual Farm Tour?
Our LIVE Virtual Farm Tours connect you directly with a working dairy farm for a real-time video tour and chat with a farmer, all from the convenience of your own classroom, living room or wherever your students happen to be learning! Using video chat technology, you’ll get a peek at barns, cows, milking parlors and more to learn firsthand how dairy farmers care for their cows and the land and produce delicious milk and dairy products for you to enjoy. You’ll also have the opportunity to submit questions to be answered live by the farmer and dairy experts during your tour.
2022-2023 Virtual Farm Tours

October 12, 2022, 1:00-1:45 PM EST: Join us for a live tour of the Paulson Family Dairy Farm in Rockingham County, VA, where they care for and milk dairy cows. Farmer Karl Paulson will walk through his dairy farm showing how their cows are cared for, fed and milked. Karl will give us an inside look into modern-day dairy farming and shine a light on the day-to-day decisions that are made to produce sustainable and nutritious milk. Plus, since we know chocolate milk is a great way for athletes to recover, we’ve invited some high school athletes to join us during the live tour and share their own perspectives on what it was like to visit a dairy farm!
This tour is great for middle and high school students, but can be enjoyed by everyone!
