Bring the Coffee Shop Experience Home

Coffee lovers, it is time to bring the coffee shop experience to your home and we have the tips you need to do it right.

In addition to being more cost-effective, bringing the coffee shop experience home can bring its relaxing atmosphere to your every day. Maybe the calming effect comes from the smell of freshly ground coffee that fills the air, the warmth that fills your stomach with a sip of your artisan drink, or the thrill of spotting the coveted overstuffed couch that is free. Whatever it is, a trip to the coffee shop is an enjoyable experience we could all use a little more of in our day-to-day lives. All you need to bring the coffee shop experience home is the right tools, the right mood, and the right drink made with real milk.

Invest in the right tools

Build a coffee bar, or a space dedicated to preparing your favorite caffeinated beverages. Does your usual order require a bean grinder and scale or do you prefer an iced coffee pitcher with flavored syrups nearby? Be sure to purchase a handheld frother if your current set up does not include one. A frother will make your milk foamy for lattes. A milk steamer is another nice to have if you want to splurge for your coffee bar.

Set the mood

A coffee shop is more than a caffeine stop. The coffee shop aesthetic is a big draw for customers, so it’s crucial to the success of your home coffee shop vibes. Take a few moments to recreate and even improve your favorite parts of your daily coffee run.

First, pick the right music. Choose from curated coffee shop playlists that bring mellow music or throwback favorites to your space. You finally have control over the volume.

Next, prepare your seat. Find a spot near the window for the instant mood boost that natural light brings. This is an improvement to your coffee shop routine, not a recreation. Go ahead and grab throw pillows or a blanket for added comfort. Enjoy the luxury of space often not found in the shop. Spread your work gear, book or newspaper, puzzle, or whatever else you plan to use so it is easy to grab one handed mid-sip.

Finally, prepare your snacks. Coffee breaks aren’t for coffee only. Warm a bagel and spread cream cheese, toast a sandwich, or pour delicious cookies onto a plate. Find delicious dairy bites to pair with your favorite morning brew.

Choose real milk

Lastly, prepare your coffee. Adding milk to your coffee creates a rich, creamy flavor, with milk’s sweetness complementing the intensity of coffee. In addition to creating a great texture and flavor, real milk is naturally nutritious. When compared side-by-side, milk contains fewer ingredients and more naturally occurring nutrients than many plant-based alternatives. Without all the additives found in alternative beverages, milk supports wellness in a more natural way. Reach for this necessary ingredient already in your refrigerator to tie together your coffee shop vibes.
