Milk’s Got Game®: Nyck Harbor Teams Up with His MVP—Mom
In the South, football is more than a sport. While we all love the roar of the crowd on Saturdays, the real game starts long before kickoff. This season, Milk’s Got Game is celebrating the athletes who shine under the stadium lights and the MVPs behind the scenes who helped get them there.
This time, we’re turning our spotlight on one of the most dynamic college athletes in the country and the woman who’s been fueling his journey since day one.
Meet Nyck Harbor
From Washington, D.C., Nyck Harbor is redefining what’s possible for a student-athlete. At 6'5" and 235 pounds, he’s built like a tight end but runs like an Olympian. Seriously — this wide receiver clocked 10.11 seconds in the 100m and 20.20 in the 200m in 2024.
Before becoming a dual-sport standout at the collegiate level, Nyck was already making headlines at Archbishop Carroll High School. He was a five-star recruit on the football field, Gatorade Player of the Year, and one of the fastest high school sprinters in the country, winning back-to-back state titles in both the 100m and 200m.
“In South Carolina, speed is in my DNA,” says Nyck. “Lactose-free real dairy milk has energized me since the beginning.”
While Nyck’s athleticism draws the headlines, it’s his work ethic and discipline that keep him grounded. Whether it’s surviving grueling practices, late-night film sessions, or elite track workouts, Nyck puts in the work and credits his support system for helping him rise.
That system starts with his mom, Saundra, who’s been in his corner every step of the way. She’s been cheering him on, driving him to practice, and making sure the fridge was always stocked with the fuel he needed to grow, recover, and thrive.
Mom’s Got Game, Too
Milk’s Got Game is shining a light on the MVPs behind the players —the moms who’ve packed the snacks, folded the jerseys, and poured the (lactose-free) milk day in and day out.
From early mornings to championship moments, they’ve kept things running behind the scenes. And they’ve done it by making smart choices like choosing real dairy milk to support their kids’ growth, strength, and recovery.
Milk’s Nutritional Lineup: Built for Performance
When it comes to keeping athletes like Nyck fueled, real milk is a standout itself. It provides:
13 essential nutrients
8g of complete, high-quality protein
Hydrating electrolytes
Carbohydrates for energy
Whether you’re sprinting down the field or running errands, milk helps power your play.
Are you lactose-sensitive like Nyck? No problem. Lactose-free milk is still real dairy milk with the same nutrients, just without the lactose that can cause discomfort for some.
Why Moms Still Reach for Milk
The moms behind athletes like Nyck know the value of real nutrition. Milk has been part of Nyck’s routine from the beginning and it’s still fueling him today.
“Since his first strides, I trusted lactose-free dairy milk,” Saundra said.
From the kitchen table to the college field, real dairy milk continues to support athletes, families, and busy lives with nourishing strength that lasts. Milk supports real performance in real life. Nyck’s got game. Do you?
