Milk’s Got Game®: QB Gunner Stockton Teams Up with His MVP—Mom

Down in the South, football is more than a sport. While we all love the roar of the crowd on Saturday, the real game starts long before kickoff. This year, Milk’s Got Game is celebrating the athletes who shine under the stadium lights and the ones who helped get them there.

Gunner Stockton is a standout player. Always standing with him is his mom. Sherrie is proof that champions aren’t built in the weight room. They’re raised at the breakfast table with a glass of milk.

Meet Gunner Stockton

From small-town Tiger, Georgia, Gunner Stockton has always known that success starts at home.

The Stocktons run a family farm that taught him the value of discipline and hard work. Gunner rewrote the record books at Rabun County High School. He is the all-time leader in total touchdowns in Georgia high school football history. (Oh, and he holds the state record for career passing touchdowns.) He’s a true dual-threat as one of the most prolific offensive players the state has ever seen.

Gunner was rated a 5-star recruit and ranked as one of the top quarterbacks in the country. True to his Georgia roots, Gunner committed to play close to home. Whether he’s leading the huddle or pushing through two-a-days, his mom has been in his corner the whole way.

“Growing up, my mom always made sure milk was part of my everyday routine,” said Gunner. “It gave me the strength I needed for practice and helped me push harder on the field. Even now, dairy milk plays a central role in my life, keeping me fueled and hydrated through every game.”

Now, as a redshirt junior college quarterback balancing performance and pressure, Gunner still leans on milk to help hydrate, recover, and refuel. With natural electrolytes, high-quality protein, and carbohydrates, it’s a one-stop drink for athletes who want to stay strong on and off the field.

Mom’s Got Game, Too

Milk’s Got Game is highlighting the MVPs behind our favorite athletes. Moms know best. They’re the ones who have been there through early mornings, long drives, big wins, and tough losses. They’ve poured more glasses of milk, packed more snacks, and washed more jerseys than anyone can count.

They’ve also helped raise strong, healthy athletes by making smart choices, like keeping real dairy milk in the rotation.

Milk’s Nutritional Lineup: Built for Performance

When it comes to keeping athletes fueled, milk plays all four quarters. Milk is a real contender on and off the field with its naturally smart combo of:

  • 13 essential nutrients

  • 8g of complete, high-quality protein

  • Hydrating electrolytes

  • Carbohydrates for energy

And it’s affordable, easy to find, and easy to drink, whether you're heading to practice or just tackling your to-do list.

Are you lactose-sensitive? No problem. Lactose-free milk is still real dairy milk with all the same benefits, just without the lactose that may cause discomfort.

Why Moms Still Reach for Milk

The moms behind athletes like Gunner know the value of smart choices. They’ve trusted milk to fuel their kids’ health and growth from the beginning. Now, as Gunner chases his dreams on college fields, Sherrie still stands behind the power of real dairy.

“Since his first steps, it’s always been real dairy – high-quality protein and real hydration,” adds Sherrie Stockton.

Real dairy milk supports real performance in real life. Gunner’s got game. Do you?

Milk’s Got Game. Do You?

Gunner Stockton grew up with milk in his routine, and it’s still part of his training today. Whether you're an athlete, a mom, or a fan in the stands, you can make milk part of your own winning routine.
